Come here and view the beauty of Bangkok, the Thai capital. Wonder what's so special about this place? Well, I don't think there would be enough words to describe ! The natural beauty and virginity of this wonderland drives so many people here, from all around the world! It's a one stop holistic destination for tourism.
It's a wonderful flight I must say! Thai Airways- truly as Smooth As Silk, as its logo states ! The aircraft is filled with the beauty of fresh, purple Orchids ! Really mesmerising ! You know, you get one of the best in-flight menu that is lip smacking ! And further more, the in-flight entertainment has the selection of best music, songs and movies from around the world! And what's more, there's a whole lot of loaded Bollywood mixes and movies that you can enjoy anywhere, anytime while travelling in Thai Airways. That's one of the reasons why it's been voted the airways with the best in-flight entertainment by People's Choices Award.
You can feel the fresh the moment you land at Suvarnabhumi International Airport! The smell of the typical Thai wind blowing all the way from the massive South China Sea reaches one's alveoli which deepens in and hypnotises one !
You sense here the responsibility of a responsible citizen. The environment itself reveals how dedicated the Thai people are towards their country in keeping it neat and clean- or rather- one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Twice the Indian rupee ₹ is the value of the Thai currency "Baht"! So make sure you get double the Indian currency converted into Baht that you are planning to spend! Seriously, you need to shower loads of notes here, be it for shopping or tourism! At the same time- you are also ensured that you get more than what you expected- that is - you get the best, no matter what !
Thailand’s capital is a wild tuk-tuk ride through bustling markets, serene temples, and urban action.
The famous Damnoen Saduak floating market is a great way to Experience the quieter way of life in Thailand away from the big cities. We arrived by paddleboat and the ride was at its utmost bliss. Adding to this was the vibrant atmosphere of the iconic Maeklong Railway Market where you can try authentic pad thai, rice noodle soup, or mango sticky rice.
The next destination to its glory are the most impressive temples in Ayutthaya, the iconic Buddha head nestled in tree roots and the intriguing history of Ayutthaya.
Also close by is the magnificent Bang Pa-In Royal Palace, a former residence of Thai kings which can be followed by a visit to Wat Phrasri Sanphet, the grandest and most beautiful temple in Ayutthaya. Be amazed at Wat Mahathat, and see the statue of the Buddha's head in a tree.
The Elephants World sanctuary is a must-to-do on your Bangkok’s travel list. Bathe, feed, and interact with Thailand’s proud giants and trek through the admirable lush forests of Erawan National Park.
The most fun part is where you can assist with the preparation of natural dietary supplements for the elephants. There is also a fun and fulfilling mud spa you can have with with the elephants, and also swim with them. Do not forget to enjoy a traditional Thai food lunch with freshly cooked Pad Thai and seasonal fruits.
Want to have your own dreamy getaway on a cruise? Well, Bangkok offers that as well. Dine on the biggest cruise ship on the Chao Phraya River whilst enjoying a delicious buffet including Thai, Western, Japanese, and Seafood dishes. There’s also a Thai traditional dance show with live music while you cruise across landmarks, like King Rama I Bridge, Wat Arun, and The Grand Palace.
Still not satisfied? Want some thrill and adventure? They have the Dream World amusement park too, curated well for an action-packed day you'll never forget. Having over 40 rides and attractions spread across the park in its four different zones: Adventure Land, Fantasy Land, Dream Garden, and Dream World Plaza, a complete day of all the thrill and adrenaline rush you would ever wish for. Discover the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain in Adventure Land, marvel at the Grand Canyon replica, and experience exhilarating rides, such as the Tornado, Black Hole Coaster, Thunderbirds, or the Flying Carpet. Visit Fantasy Land and explore fairytales from around the world, such as Sleeping Beauty, and discover the Giant House, and 4D adventures. Ride the cable car or train to see the sights and explore the Seven Wonders of the World in Dream Gardens. Adding to some more fun is their Snow Town in -8°C temperatures with its frosty arctic winter setting. Go go-kart racing and meet your favorite cartoon characters in the Colors of the World Parade. Bumper cars, roller coasters, and water rides all await you.
Before leaving we made sure we did the local “Electronics Shopping”, trust me, which is a must. Anything and everything in the gadgets world at completely affordable prices. But let me throw a Caution Alert here! Do make sure you buy genuine and reliable products and not get completely carried away by the throwaway prices of the appliances.
And and and, do not forget the Madame Tussauds Bangkok which brings an extra level of fun to the traditional wax museum with interactive displays that allow you to pose alongside your heroes. Answer the phone at the Oval Office, or head on stage for a duet with Justin Bieber. From world leaders like Barack Obama and the Dalai Lama to the Queen of England and the king of the football pitch Lionel Messi, there are photo ops a-plenty for both adults and children.
Be it night cycle rides on the streets, exploring local cuisines, night parties at clubs, special Thai Massages, you ought to try every bit of them and enjoy them.
